Banxso, an online trading platform, has been the subject of multiple regulatory actions, legal proceedings, and customer complaints over the past year. Key concerns include:

Regulatory Warnings and Actions: In mid-October 2024, the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) provisionally withdrew Banxso’s financial service provider licence due to concerns about its operations and potential association with deceptive advertising practices. The FSCA is actively investigating Banxso for possible contraventions of financial sector laws, including aggressive sales tactics, promises of unrealistic returns, and failure to conduct necessary risk assessments.

Legal Proceedings: In November 2024, the Western Cape High Court set aside a preservation order on Banxso’s funds but maintained restrictions, allowing only the transfer of client funds to authorized financial services providers. Banxso is also facing liquidation proceedings scheduled for December 2024.

Customer Complaints: Numerous investors have reported significant financial losses after engaging with Banxso. Some were allegedly lured by deepfake advertisements featuring prominent figures like Elon Musk and Johann Rupert, leading them to invest based on misleading information.

If a company needs fake ads and aggressive sales tactics to survive, then it’s built on lies. Stay far away from Banxso. If they have to use deepfake ads and shady tactics to get investors, that says everything about their business....

FSCA doesn’t revoke licenses for no reason. If they’re under investigation, that’s a BIG red flag. BE ALERT!
